the weather outside is frightful...

...but the fire is soo delightful :)

DECEMBER has treated me well. i am so thankful for how blessed i am to be able to do all the fun things i do during this Christmas season.

Madrigal Christmas Trip: ^
We sang at so many amazing locations like the Joseph Smith Memorial, Primary Children's Hospital, Hartvigsens School for the Severely Disabled, State Capitol Building, and many more. The most memorable performance was definitely singing for our beloved prophet, Thomas S. Monsen. That experience is something I will never forget. (I also got to mark 2 things off my bucklist. yess.)
^Caroling with the neighbs.
^Making the best out of the rain with my best pals by going up to Dixie Rock. (the orange picture is us, inside a cloud. once in a lifetime experience if ya ask me.)
^and of course... spending time with friends and family. because that's what christmas time is all about... being with the ones you love because of the ONE who loved you most. Happy Birthday, my friend & brother, Jesus Christ.

2: UPAY. With Levi Neely. YES!
3: Trick or Canning! (for NHS.)
my group dominated. we were the winners!
4: Road trip up to the Lady Warrior soccer semi-final game.

and for number 5.... the 5TH STATE CHAMPIONS TITLE FOR THE VOLLEYBALL TEAM!

for the love.

music. where would i be without it?
I owe a lot of my desire to this little lady right here ^ my sissy heidi.

and of course. my wonderful mother. she is the reason why i'm still doing it today.

i think of how DIFFERENT my life would be without music. It hurts my head when I think about it too much.

"Music is what our feelings sound like"
-unknown

growing up with music has changed my life, for sure.

^ i also have learned to love singing. doing madrigals this year was definitely a good choice:)

i have met wonderful people through music. aka my best friends. ^ these 2 right here

All in all- music is the best. and it is a big part of my life. and i love every second of it.

summer fun?

okay so this summer i have been BEYOND busy. it's actually quite insane. as soon as june 3rd hit me, i was MIA. seriously. ask anyone. so... here's an overview of what i did this summer. don't get me wrong. i loved EVERY single thing i went to. i think i just tried to jam it all in ONE summer...

first trip: lake powell with the 1st ward. yeah, we know how to throw a good youth conference.

the spirit was so strong at testimony meeting and hiking hole in the rock was truly an experience. that hike DEFINITELY kicked my butt.

next event on my agenda was SUMI music camp!

next was BYU Summerfest (music camp)
this was truly an amazing week of my life. i love music so much. it truly was a sight to see when you had a bunch of awesome kids together, who laugh together, get to know each other, and who all have the SAME passion as you do.
*picture on the top right, he was the BEST head counselor ever. we loved roger!

after BYU, i stayed up north and prepared for yearbook camp. yearbook camp? yeah. it was sweet. me, tiana, jake, josie, and kacey all attended. it was a blast. especially poker with those [hot] guys the first night :)

got back from yearbook camp on thursday and left again monday...we went to the lake. now this was quite the trip. i took 4 of my very best pals & we headed off to lake mead. we had a blast. i'd like to thank hans & lori for this trip. we love the lakey. and brecky. and guac. and waverunners!

mead was definitely one of the best weeks of the summer *we also celebrated devin brown's birthday while we were there! :)

EFY. best week EVER. seriously. i can't even explain. everyone says "efy is so great, such a good experience, blah blah." but really. it changed me! i loved every second of it. my company was closer than EVER. we loved eachother. my counselors were amazing. and the spirit was so strong.

after EFY, i went to girls camp. GC. it was awesome. i loved it. seriously. my tent mates were... fabulous. they consisted of. amber graff, shaileen stephenson, tiana truman, kira bott, megan chalmers, mikelle atkinson, and myself. hope i didn't leave anyone out :)

^5th years!

*i just want to mention that i love randilynn. a lot :) she's such an example to me!

okay well now since i've posted the longest post in bloggy blog history, i am done. i loved my summer, and everyone in it. but i can't lie, i'm a little excited for school to start :)

Well. Here's my first post.

INCEPTION:
holy CRAP! how was it so good? i have no idea. I seriously can't stop freaking out. I went to the 8:30 showing tonight with my 2 cousins MaryAnne & Lauren and her friend Kbre. She's cool :)
While waiting in line, I broke out the good ole Phase 10 cards. Can't go anywhere without those bad boys. We started playing, us 4 girls and then we ended up having everyone around us in line playing. We had Dallin, Jen, the whole crew. It was awesome. I love friendly people in St. George.
